Since people began to use paper, the process of its production has been constantly improved, so over time new types of paper began to appear.
What storage rules must be followed?
When storing office paper in a warehouse, the integrity of its original packaging must not be compromised. The paper should not be placed in a room with high humidity.
The optimal temperature for its storage is no less than 15 and no more than 30 degrees Celsius
. When the paper is transferred to another room, it should be left there for at least a day and only then open the package.
Thus, the paper acclimatizes
to the conditions in which it will be applied in the future, therefore, its structure is not violated. This will prevent the paper from becoming brittle and causing the printer to jam.
If the air temperature in the office and in the warehouse is significantly different, you need to leave the paper for three days, after which you can safely start using it. It is best that the air temperature in the office space is approximately 20 degrees Celsius, and the humidity is about 50 percent
.
Manufacturers of office paper recommend following the following rules:
- Paper should only be stored in its packaging; placing heavy objects on it is strictly prohibited. It is also not advisable to place it on uneven surfaces. This may cause the paper to warp, making it difficult to feed into the printer. For the same reason, the sheets must be in a horizontal position.
- It is prohibited to place packages of paper on the floor or near electrical appliances that heat the room.
- It is worth opening a pack of sheets of paper immediately before using them to prevent the possibility of moisture absorption.
- You should also limit your paper’s exposure to direct sunlight. Otherwise, this will lead to a deterioration in its quality and make it difficult to use.
- Office paper should be packaged in cardboard boxes with a capacity of 5 packages each. Thanks to this, the corners will not wrinkle, and the printer will easily capture even sheets.
Before loading office paper into the printer tray, it is worth separating the sheets from each other – then the machine will accept them one at a time.
- On some packages you can even see an arrow that indicates which side the paper should be placed in the printer. If there is such a sign, you must follow it. This will make it easier to use duplex paper.
