Popular master classes using the “Tapes” material | Country of Masters

You can start with ordinary bows for elastic bands or hairpins.

Fold a small piece of satin ribbon (the width depends on the size of the bow) in half, without pressing it, and stitch it. Make four more similar “petals” and connect them. Decorate the resulting flower with lace, beads or beads. Secure the product to an elastic band or headband.

Another option: fold two identical satin rectangles. Fold one edge to the middle, cover it with the second, pierce it with a needle and thread, make a few stitches. Wrap the ribbons with thread. Attach the finished bow to the headband using a ribbon.

Upon request – crafts with ribbons master class – search engines often return bracelets and baubles.

  1. Braid three ribbons of different colors into a braid, secure the ends with clasps for bracelets (purchased at any craft store). You can decorate it with large beads.
  2. Secure the ribbon to the table with tape. Thread it through several buckles to create a kind of caterpillar. Attach a carabiner to the end. The custom decoration is ready.
  3. The technique for making baubles is the same for floss and thin ribbons. If you are tired of weaving with threads, there is such an alternative.

Bracelets with beads

Lay out a long narrow ribbon on the table. Stepping back a few centimeters from the end, glue a large bead. Make a fold and attach the next bead (you will get a “partition” of ribbon between the beads). Continue until the material runs out. Tie the remaining ponytails. Diversify the craft with matching bows.

Crafts made from satin ribbons are not limited to voluminous decorations. Embroidery is no less popular, despite the nuances. The work requires patience and perseverance. The special needle must be thick and blunt so that the ribbon passes freely (naturally, its eye is not small). The fabric needs to be pulled tightly onto the hoop.

The basic straight stitch is a thread stitch, suitable for petals. It is convenient to use a French knot to represent buds (bring the needle to the front side and wrap it with tape, return it inside out through the second puncture).

When performing a twisted stitch, the craftswoman twists the ribbon and then brings the needle to the wrong side. There the tape is secured with threads. Natural stems and leaves are obtained.

Step-by-step instructions for ribbon crafts often include embroidering a 3D rose.

Outline the location and size of the flower. From the center, lay five rays with thick threads. Pull the ribbon through them in a checkerboard pattern. Twist it into a spiral and form a bud.

DIY ribbon crafts can be not only beautiful, but also practical.

Fold back the cover of the notebook, glue eight green ribbons along the length and five pink ones across the width. Turn right side out and arrange the pink ribbons. Pass each green one in a wave so that you end up with a “checkered” pattern. Attach the ends to the inside of the cover, attach an extra pink ribbon and a bookmark closer to the spine. Glue a sheet of thick cardboard on top. The unusual notebook is ready.

Soft books look sloppy over time. The cover curls and wrinkles, the pages get dirty. The following craft helps to avoid such troubles. Take a ribbon the size of the book and sew a large button to it. Attach an elastic band to the opposite end. The piece connects the tattered cover and pages. Simple and neat.

Christmas tree decorations

Cute New Year’s balls are made using the artichoke technique.

Take a foam plastic blank and mark the center on both sides. Cut several squares from a satin ribbon 5 cm wide. Attach a piece to the base so that the center of the ball coincides with the center of the square, pin the corners with flat-headed pins.

Find the middle in the next piece of tape, insert a pin from the wrong side. Stick the structure into the center of the fixed square, fold the piece in half, bend the upper corners towards the middle to form a triangle, secure with pins. Using the same method, attach three more squares. The result will be an asterisk.

Cut a ribbon of a different color into 8 of the same pieces. Mark the center of each square with a pin and attach the pieces at the same distance from the center (to ensure everything comes out exactly straight, you can use a compass). Fold each square in the same way as the first four. Pin not only the middle, but also the edges.

Do the same with the satin of the third shade. Lay out the fourth row with the color that was used for the central star.

Design the second half of the ball in exactly the same way, starting from the middle. Decorate the finished product with a translucent bow.

How to make round petals

Cut a square with a side of 2-4 cm from the ribbon, fold it into an equilateral triangle. Bring the corners of the base to the top. A rhombus emerges, the corners of which must be secured at the back. Burn the cut and press with tweezers.

How to make sharp petals

Bend the square folded by analogy again. Connect the corners of the base, leaving the top sharp. Burn and secure with tweezers.

How to make a flower from a ribbon with your own hands

If you look at the classic kanzashi flowers made from ribbons with your own hands photo, you will see that for most of the work wide ribbons were used, from 25 mm to 50 mm wide. But thin ribbons, the width of which is only 5 mm, will allow you to decorate bright and unique buds, for example, a delicate aster with sharp petals.

The materials for the craft are still the same:

Working with thin ribbons is even more interesting, so don’t be sure to try making an aster according to the proposed master class. First you need to cut the ribbon into pieces: we will need 12 light green pieces 8 cm long, 6 white and light green pieces 7 cm long, and 12 white pieces 6 cm long.

Now let’s start forming the petals: fold the light green piece in half and mark the future cut line on the fold side using a pencil and ruler. Along this line, you need to cut off a corner, and then treat the edges with fire to fasten them together.

We will use a similar pattern to form a sufficient number of petals using white and light green thin ribbon. As a result, we have petals of three sizes, with which we will form our multi-layered aster.

In previous master classes on how to make a flower from a ribbon with your own hands, we first formed a bud, and then hid the wrong side with a felt circle. This time we will need a cardboard circle, which will be used to form the aster. You see that we have two more circles drawn inside the circle, on each we will paste the next layer of petals.

The outer circle must be formed from the largest light green parts so that they are evenly spaced. In the next row there will be an alternation of light green and white pieces of smaller size; they must be glued in a checkerboard pattern to the previous row. We will form the central circle exclusively from white blanks, which are also glued in a checkerboard pattern. At the end, all that remains is to glue a large bead in the center.

Japanese technique for creating flowers and bows. Often used in the manufacture of panels, hair decorations, voluminous swans and Christmas trees.

Thanks to delicate lines and well-chosen shades, the products look lively and interesting.

Flower basket

The idea is extremely simple: make as many flowers as possible using the technique you like and fill a basket with them. The craft is suitable as a decoration for a children’s party. Especially if it is held in the style of the fairy tale “The Twelve Months”.

Also, a basket of snowdrops or roses will diversify the interior at a wedding or corporate event.

Unusual bow

Cut a small piece of kraft cardboard and insert four skewers between the layers. Throw the ribbon in a wave (one skewer will be under the satin, the second will be above it). Pass the remaining material in the same way to form a “snake”. Secure the ends with clothespins.

Move the rows closer together and tie a ribbon in a contrasting color in the middle. Unfasten the clothespins and trim off the excess. The multi-layer bow is ready. It is well suited for decorating gifts or jewelry.

Easter eggs

Ribbon crafts for beginners are easiest to make using some kind of base. This is how fancy decor ideas are born.

Take a wooden blank in the shape of an egg (using chicken eggs is not rational, since you will have to destroy the product before the product becomes rotten). Cover it with glue, preferably in two layers.

Choose a ribbon of the color you like, wrap it around the base, starting from the top and filling the surface on all sides. The technique resembles the number eight. Secure the end with a glue gun.

You can decorate with flowers, feathers, beads or lace. As the needlewoman’s imagination desires.

Gift for mom on March 8

Tulip is a canonical spring flower. Gifts on March 8th are rarely complete without it, so a ribbon bud will come in handy.

Petals are rolled up from squares. To form a closed bud, 3-4 parts are enough. The blank is inserted into a green “bag” and secured with glue. Deep in the center you can plant several yellow pins with bead tips imitating stamens.

Attach the bouquet to a card or bracelet. It turns out cute and fresh.

Holiday bottles

If emerald champagne bottles spoil the entire aesthetics of the holiday, you should think about their decor.

Wrap the container with ribbon of the color you like. Place pieces of lace, beads or rhinestones on the glue. The advantage of this method: the bottle can be brought as close as possible to the theme of the holiday.

Such little things affect the atmosphere of the celebration and the sense of self of guests and hosts, so it is necessary to pay due attention to them.

Wedding bouquet

If a craftswoman can’t figure out what kind of craft she can make from ribbons for a long time, this option will do. Making a bridal bouquet will be a test for the needlewoman’s skills.

You will need a ribbon 4-5 cm long, 1.2 m long. Fold a corner on one side and twist a tube. Continue wrapping the core until you run out of material. In some places you will need to twist the tape from the face inside out and back again. Hide the tip under the petal and secure the structure with thread.

Attach the buds to the stem, decorate with other ribbons. Complete the bouquet with delicate beads.

DIY ribbon flowers: master class

When 25 blanks are ready, their edges must be scorched with fire, otherwise the satin will crumble. It is necessary to singe quickly so that the edges remain smooth. For scorching, it is convenient to use a candle that can be placed on the table, while both of your hands remain free. Each square piece needs to be singed on two sides.

Next, we will look at how to fold one petal to make beautiful DIY ribbon flowers. The master class involves using tweezers, which are convenient for holding the petal blank during the singeing and gluing stages.

We need to bend the square diagonally to make a triangle. Then both corners must be bent to the center line, holding the bottom with your fingers or tweezers. The photo shows that the corners are singed, but this is not necessary at this stage if you are comfortable holding the workpiece with tweezers.

When you bend both side corners to the center, you will form a petal, the bottom corner of which must be cut off – approximately 5 mm from the edge. At this stage we will again need a candle to immediately scorch the cut with fire. You can immediately fix the cut line with tweezers, then cut it so that about 1 mm of allowance remains, and, also holding it with tweezers, scorch this allowance with fire.

Fire will not only help prevent the threads from falling off the satin material, but will also reliably solder the edges, so we won’t need glue to form the petals. Thus, you need to process all 25 square blanks to get beautiful petals.

This is how we will form a bud, bending the next petals around the middle. To attach the petals evenly, place the beginning of the next one in the middle of the previous one. The bottom also needs to be sewn together with several stitches. Also try to keep the bottom of the bud even, so that it will be easier to attach it to the base for an accessory, be it a brooch or a hairpin.

Following our master class, you will easily master flowers from ribbons with your own hands for beginners, and when the rosebud is ready, you can work on a few green leaves that will complete our craft. We fold the leaf as shown in the photo, then cut off the excess at an angle and scorch the edge with fire. For the green leaf we took a piece of satin material 4 by 8 cm.

Once you’ve glued the green leaf to the back, all that’s left to do is decorate the back to hide the entire stitching and gluing process. You can use a circle of felt or eco-leather, which is glued to the wrong side.

Using the same creation scheme, you need to make six other parts – pink on the outside, crimson on the inside. We will have six parts like this – crimson on the outside, red on the inside. Our 12 outer petals will be as follows: red on the outside, dark red on the inside.

Now it’s time to use individual petals to form flowers from satin ribbons with your own hands, the artist will first use a needle and thread. We need to string two types of light details on a thread, alternating them with each other. So we will string 12 parts onto a thread, the next step we will tighten the thread, while lifting the light parts to the top, and the darker ones should be at the bottom. We have the beginning of a chrysanthemum on two levels.

Next we will use glue and darker parts that should be glued between the petals of the second row. In the fourth row we will need the darkest details, which should also be glued between the petals of the previous row.

We are almost ready with a voluminous chrysanthemum with sharp petals, and all that remains is to decorate the core. To do this, we will take a large rhinestone to match the flower and glue it in the middle.
