As soon as a person uses the card for his own purposes. The mineral-infused fibrous material is essential for writing, drawing, printing, packaging, origami and more. Recently, it has become fashionable to make 3D objects from paper. What is 3D? Literally translated, these are “three measures.” The point of this process is to move from direct space to three-dimensional, realistic. Therefore, you can make any type of equipment: cars, planes, ships, and so on
How to make a paper car with your own hands
In addition to the fact that making paper crafts with your own hands is a fascinating activity, it is also useful for the development of fine motor skills, memory, and imagination. To make a car out of paper, you will need a minimum of materials and tools: glue, scissors, paper base.
For the initial stage, you need to try a simpler origami design. And then move on to a more difficult level.
In many children’s publications you can find the headline “How to make a paper car.” The print is then provided, which is large enough for cutting and folding.
This option is suitable for beginners.
DIY cardboard car
You can make any model from cardboard with your own hands. The base is a cardboard box, one or several. It is important that the box is not flat.
So, we follow the plan:
- The box is coated with the desired color using tempera.
- A sketch of doors and windows was made. Partially cut.
- Furnishing is provided.
- The car number is written in black.
- To print the wheels, you will need a compass. You need to cut out 8 identical circles. Glue them together in pairs. Paint on both sides, paint the tread.
- They are connected on a long (wooden) barbecue and secured to form two boards.
- Secure them with tape or tape to the bottom of the camera body.
- Depending on the chosen model, we attach the upper one to the lower one. To do this, we process a smaller box. We connect to an already finished structure. Double-sided tape works great for this.
- Cut window openings can be covered with polyethylene for a more complete resemblance to the original.
- A paper Kamaz or a passenger car must be equipped with important parts: a steering wheel, headlights, mirrors. They can be made from plasticine.
- The driver of the Lego or Kinder Surprise sets sits in the driver’s seat.
- For complete integrity of the perception of the boat, it is possible to install a “reserve” at the rear.
Machine development
To print paper machine scans, templates, models and other assembly diagrams, you can visit design sites on the Internet.
It is enough to follow the recommendations step by step and understand how to make a car out of cardboard or a KAMAZ out of paper; after the first assembly, you can start sculpting.
Stages of creating a paper model
Let’s give an example of a step-by-step construction of a paper-making machine. The origami will be laid out on a square sheet. In this case, we don’t need a drawing.
- Fold the paper square along the diagonals.
- Next, fold the unfolded square with pronounced diagonals in half in two directions.
- Unfold and fold two opposite sides towards the center.
- Open the bottom part and fold it in half again.
- Unfold and connect the free side with the fold at the top.
- We do the same from the inside. The result is a layout divided into equally sized squares.
- Place the scan with the grooves lowered. We fold the figures from all corners (into four squares).
- Turn over and fold the square wide.
- Divide the end of the strip folded on the left into three equal parts. Use scissors to draw a fold.
- Fold a square from the outermost strip.
- Press the bottom strip to the maximum area.
- Turn the strip layer a little to the right and form a square.
- Turn left. The fold of the tape is similar to the previous one. That’s why we perform everywhere.
- We bring the scan to its original state with a square. At the second stage we make a fold.
- Turn the piece from right to left, folding the strips in parallel.
- At the corners we change the direction of the resource and form a square.
- Turn the product over and smooth it out. The result is a diamond shape that hides the rest of the structure.
- Smooth out the small rectangle well along the diagonals. The border is being formed.
- Fold the pieces of squares and iron them tightly.
- Make folds from the central part of the figure to the sides.
- To ensure that the outer square intersects with the plane, we start behind the triangle on the right side.
- From the same edge we return a small line along the line we defined. Raise the outer diamonds.
- Also follow from the opposite direction.
- Both stripes from the central figures along the strip, downwards, are strongly ironed.
- Let’s take a step back. Connecting the triangles.
- We carefully connect the entire internal part of the product with a strip extending from the core of the quadrangular product.
- Repeat from vertical upwards. We also draw the outer square side wall. We do it on both sides. Iron and compact any excess residual parts under the edges.
- Turnover. Draw a line along the height of the folded part.
- Fold the sides of the mini square.
- Draw a line diagonally to the top of the piece. A segment descends diagonally from above, fold it together with it. We also do the opposite.
- The result is diamonds. Fold to the right.
- Fold the remaining part with the bottom line of the fold strip. We do the same thing everywhere. Turn the squares inward from the bottom. We hide something inside.
- Fold the strips on the sides.
- Important! One corner will open and fold in half, and the other will “go” under the part.
- Make a piece of each square, flatten it and fold it in half.
- Fold the strip from the bottom towards the front of the machine.
- Fold the strips along the sides of the product.
- Wheel molding (inside and outside).
- Iron all folds again.
Now you know how to make a car out of paper or cardboard.
