“fly agaric”

Kersten T.

Fly Agaric boasted in the grove: “Oh, the dress I’m wearing is beautiful! Any red hat with fringe will envy you!”

What would a forest be without this handsome man. After all, he is the first one that catches our eye when entering the grove. Therefore, he also needs to pay attention. It’s easy to do. The hat folds like an accordion. You already know how to do this very well, but I won’t repeat it. If you don’t know how, please look at the article above.

We will need:

  • cardboard
  • colored paper
  • glue
  • scissors

Fold the future mushroom cap like an accordion.

Fold it in half. Glue the middle together.

Bend the bottom of the accordion as shown in the photo. We turn the corners so that everything is neat. We fix them with glue. We turn the workpiece over and connect it to the base. Cut out a leg from white paper.

We make two accordions from strips. Glue them to the leg under the hat. These are our skirts.

Next we decorate the head with white spots. Decorate with leaves and grass. He turned out to be such a cute guy. We won’t put it in the basket, but it’s nice to look at.

Applique “tree with leaves” made of colored paper

We need:

  • colored paper
  • colored cardboard (thick paper)
  • pencil
  • ruler
  • glue
  • scissors

Work progress:

Cut out a strip of brown paper 3 cm wide. Place it on a colored thick sheet in the middle.

Use a pencil to mark a point under the top of the trunk. We will cut 7-9 more strips, 2 cm wide. The length may vary.

Coat one edge of it with glue and attach it to the marked point. We twist the branch into a spiral 1-3 times.

We attach the second edge to the cardboard away from the trunk, creating the outline of the crown. None of this is difficult. Glue in any order.

When we are done with the branches, we cover the gluing area with the trunk. Next, take yellow or orange paper.

Applique “hedgehog in a clearing”

Lying on a dry hillock, a sharp hedgehog boasted that no one could pinch his hedgehog skin.

M. Pridvorov

We will need:

  • colored paper
  • glue
  • scissors

Work progress:

We take a sheet of any color, but bright is still better.

Then we glue green grass to it. To do this, cut a strip 3-5 cm wide from green paper. Then make small cuts on it. Let’s add volume to them using scissors or a pencil. After that, on the background you have chosen, draw a semi-oval. Cut strips of black paper equal in width.

Calculate so that they are about 12 cm long, no more than 0.6-0.8 cm wide. But even if there’s nothing else to worry about. The child will happily cut them out and glue them around the oval.

We make needles in two rows. Let’s cut out the body, head, paws.

The head and hind legs are attached to a spring, which we will make from paper.

First, fold the edges perpendicular to each other. Then in a checkerboard pattern. We fix the beginning and end of the spring with glue so that the part does not fall apart.

Let’s glue the eyes. Let’s shape the nose. As a result, the child, with your help, will make a beautiful hedgehog.

Applique “umbrella with autumn leaves”

Why do children need an umbrella in the fall? That’s right, you guessed it. Use them to catch a colorful carpet during leaf fall.

We will need:

  • colored paper
  • glue
  • pencil
  • scissors

Work progress:

Cut out 4 cones from colored paper.

You can make it in different colors. the main thing is one size (any).

Next, we glue the edges of each workpiece.

Take colored cardboard. We glue our parts, connecting them together with the point.

Next we mask the gluing area. We put the cut out leaves into the umbrella.

Templates can be found in the article. Draw and cut out. Glue the handle. And you are a catcher of autumn outfit.

Application “autumn tree” in the preparatory group

Completing this application is simple, but painstaking and will require perseverance and patience from the preschooler. The lesson develops imagination, introduces the possibilities of using scrap materials, and teaches how to sew buttons to fabric.

To make an applique, collect unnecessary buttons of different sizes, but be sure to be flat and painted in autumn colors: yellow, beige, ocher, red, red, brown, burgundy. Also for the background you need a piece of canvas, preferably a light shade.

Instructions for creating crafts:

  1. Cut out a tree from dark brown construction paper.
  2. Stick it on the background. You can also draw the trunk and branches directly on the fabric with a brown felt-tip pen, but if you don’t have artistic skills, it’s better to do it using a template.
  3. Sew buttons with matching threads to the top of the trunk, forming a lush crown.

The finished application turns out to be extremely beautiful and interesting, worthy of hanging on the wall in a prominent place in a frame.

Applique “autumn tree” in the middle group

The applique is performed using an interesting technique, when the elements of the composition are made from paper scraps. For work, prepare a set of colored paper, pencil glue, colored pencils, and a tree template.

To make the applique:

  • On the background sheet, color the tree according to the template using colored pencils in different shades of brown.
  • Take colored paper in red, yellow, and light green colors. Tear it into small pieces of arbitrary shape.
  • Stick paper pieces in random order onto tree branches to form a crown, and onto the bottom of the background to create leafy ground.

Cereal applique

For the “Autumn Forest” applique you need buckwheat, millet, wheat and other cereals. The paper should be thick enough, since you will have to use a lot of PVA glue, and the thin paper will get wet.

It is better to paint the background and contours of the trunks. Apply glue to the tree crowns and sprinkle with cereal. You can use a separate type of grain for each tree or mix all grains together. The work should lie until the glue dries completely.

A craft with seeds is made in a similar way. Pumpkin seeds are painted with gouache in the colors of the autumn palette, and then glued to the base.

To develop children’s imagination, invite your child to choose his own materials for the craft. For example, paper can be replaced with fabric or felt. Let your child get acquainted with different textures and materials.

It is in early childhood that the child’s imagination develops most actively. Don’t miss this moment and grow a creative person.

Application from plasticine

Since plasticine is quite heavy, applique requires a solid base, such as cardboard or fiberboard. You can use a disposable plate. You need the softest plasticine so that it spreads easily.

For the background, roll out two green sausages and one light brown one, then assemble them into one sausage without kneading. Tear off pieces and spread where the soil should be.

There is no need to mix colors into one, let the effect of chaotic spots remain, as if part of the grass has already dried out. Smear blue across the sky, occasionally adding white.

Sculpt or paint with gouache. Roll many 5mm balls in the color of autumn foliage. Each ball must be attached to the base and squeezed to form a flat cake.

Fill the space of the tree crown with such flat cakes. You can make mushrooms from white and brown plasticine and place them between the trees.

Forest applique of autumn leaves

Working with natural material is quite difficult; it requires preparation and careful handling of fragile leaves. Typically, an application of leaves on the theme “Autumn Forest” is done in 2nd grade.

The material for this craft must be prepared in advance by drying the leaves. To prevent the composition from looking sad, find leaves that retain a bright color after drying. For example, red wild grape leaves or yellow linden leaves.

The collected raw materials should be transferred to newspapers and weighed down with something heavy, leaving in this form for three to four days. If the material is needed urgently, it can be quickly dried with an iron. To do this, the sheet is placed between two sheets of paper and ironed for ten minutes.

Cut out or draw a tree trunk from paper. Glue the leaves using PVA glue.

Older children can cut the leaves into small pieces and make a craft using the collage technique.

Applique autumn forest made of colored paper

Crafts on this topic can be done even with children in the younger group of kindergarten. At this age, children already know the features of the seasons and can create the correct color palette for the appliqué.

To practice fine motor skills, it is best to use torn paper technology. Choose soft colored paper, as tearing thick paper can cause your child to cut himself.

First make the background. Cover the bottom half of the sheet with green paper with a torn edge. The green should not be too bright as it is an autumn grass. You can add accents by drawing individual blades of grass. Stick blue clouds on the sky.

Cut out tree trunks from brown paper and arrange these objects on the background sheet. There is no need to require the same arrangement; let the children show their imagination and make original compositions. Glue the trunks.

Take colored paper in autumn shades (red, orange, yellow, light brown) and tear it into pieces about 1x1cm. Then randomly glue them onto the top of the trunks, as well as onto the ground, like fallen leaves.

Children from the preparatory group can make a more complex application “Hedgehog in the autumn forest” in this way. From gray paper, cut out the shape of a hedgehog (an oval with a nose), and use a black felt-tip pen to draw needles, eyes and a nose for the hedgehog. Cut out apples from red paper and stick them on the back of the hedgehog.

Hedgehog made of colored paper – accordion

You can’t ignore the prickly forest inhabitants of the forest. Children will be happy to make such a craft, especially since it is very easy.

We will need:

  • multi-colored paper size A 4 (any color)
  • glue
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • felt-tip pen

Work progress:

Take a sheet.

Fold the sheet in half with the long side.

Next, put a strip of approximately 3 cm on one side. Cut it to the middle of the sheet.

Applique autumn forest made of colored paper, fallen leaves, cotton pads according to patterns

Let’s unfold the craft lengthwise, as shown in the photo.

Let’s fold it like an accordion.

Smooth the ribs well so that they are sharp.

Bend the workpiece in half. We connect both halves together.

We do not touch the cut off part.

Draw the outline of the head on it.

Cut it out. Then, using a pencil or felt-tip pen, we draw in the eyes and mouth. Cut out the apple or mushrooms. We connect them with needles. Then you can put the handsome man on the grass.

Forest of cotton pads

As an alternative to regular cotton wool, you can use cotton pads. Additionally you will need: colored cardboard, glue and scissors.

Let’s start designing the application:

  1. To imitate snow-covered hills, take a cotton pad, cut it in half and glue it onto cardboard.
  2. Then we cut out several strips – these will be tree trunks. Glue them onto the snowdrifts.
  3. We make the crown of the tree from a whole disk.
  4. To add liveliness to our picture, we draw snowflakes. They can be cut out of paper, drawn with cotton swabs, or small circles of cotton pads made with a hole punch can be glued on.

Another craft option:

  1. We draw Christmas trees on several cotton pads: we got four, then we cut them out.
  2. From another disk we make a month and snowflakes.
  3. Take cardboard and glue a cotton swab in the middle at the bottom – this is the trunk of one of the trees.
  4. Cut several cotton pads in half. In our case – three. We glue them at the bottom with different sides – we get snowdrifts and snowy hills.
  5. Place a cotton pad on top of a cotton swab – this is the crown of the tree.
  6. Place the cut out Christmas trees on the snowdrifts. Glue the month and snowflakes.

Origami maple leaves (step by step instructions)

Making cute leaves is very easy and simple. The most important thing is to be with the children. Then decorate any room (kindergarten, school or nursery) with your crafts. With step-by-step instructions and photos you can do it very easily and quickly.

Attached is a step-by-step diagram of folding a maple leaf.

We will need:

  • 3 square leaves 8.5×8.5 cm
  • glue

Work progress:

We can make squares of any size.

Let’s take one copy. Fold it diagonally. Next, we unfold it to its original state.

Then fold the wings in half towards the middle of the fold.

Turn the craft over with an acute angle downwards.

We remove the resulting tail inside the pocket.

Fold the top corners towards the middle. It turned out to be small triangles. Let’s bend them back and put them inside. The result is a figure familiar to us – a rhombus. Bend the top corners down. One piece is ready. Next we’ll make a few more of these blanks. Let’s connect them together and secure with glue.

To ensure that the parts keep their shape well, they can be glued onto a thick round base. Don’t forget to make a leg. The maple leaf is ready. You can also use them to make a crown for the autumn holiday. Only for this you need to make a rim out of paper and connect everything together.

Volumetric applique “basket with mushrooms”

We will also need a basket. We will collect everything we find in the forest.

For the craft we will need:

  • colored paper in two shades
  • glue
  • colored cardboard
  • scissors

Work progress:

We cut strips of paper 1.5 x 21 cm wide. Then we divide them into 3 equal parts. We will glue each one into a ring.

Children will enjoy cutting out and gluing the blanks.

We will glue them onto the base in a checkerboard pattern. Let’s make the first row a semicircle.

There is nothing complicated here, you just need perseverance. Therefore, adult help will be needed.

Place mushrooms in the basket. Decorate with paper leaves if desired. You can draw it yourself or use templates. They can be found at the end of the article.

Volumetric applique on the theme of autumn made of colored paper, templates

Autumn paintings in the form of appliques can be created in different ways. Consider in this version an autumn tree. You can draw it yourself or use a template.

You will need:

  • dark thick threads for knitting
  • PVA glue
  • dry leaves
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • thick cardboard

Work progress:

Cut out or draw a tree template. Let’s cut it out. Next, glue it to the base using glue.

  • Take the threads and chop them into pieces.

Then sprinkle the tree trunk with shavings. It turns out to be a real “bark”.

We sprinkle the crown in the same way, only with leaves.

  • Volumetric applique of autumn forest

This method requires some skills and is accessible to children of primary school age.

Take white birch paper and draw black marks. For a voluminous central trunk, cut a strip of 9×17 centimeters and screw it into a tube onto a marker, gluing the edge so that the tube retains its shape.

Attach strips of 10×4 centimeters in the same way, using a pencil, to get thinner tubes. Roll the paper along the long edge, so you will get a thick tube 17 centimeters long and several thin ones 10 centimeters long.

Glue them in the form of a central trunk with branches on the sides. Using a template or a hole punch, cut out leaves from paper in autumn shades and attach them evenly along the branches.

For originality, you can add autumn fruits, such as apples.

Volume craft for an autumn exhibition in a kindergarten or school

I suggest you pay attention to a very cute inhabitant of the forest. A voluminous hedgehog is performed easily and simply.

      We will need:

      • colored paper
      • pencil
      • glue
      • scissors

      Work progress:

Take 2 sheets of black or any other dark paper. Fold them in half together. Let’s draw a semicircle at random.

      Then we’ll cut it out.

Next, take one sheet. It will consist of two equal semicircles. We cut off a strip of about 1 centimeter from one part from the base in a circle. We start carefully from the base a little and then make one part lower in height.

      As shown in the photo.

We do the second part as well. To make a ladder.

Then we cut out the needles with scissors.

Place the blanks on top of each other. We glue it with glue.

We’ll attach more needles to the side.

Let’s draw a face for the handsome forest creature. Let’s cut it out. Let’s color it with a felt-tip pen. Let’s make an apple or a mushroom out of colored paper so that the forest dweller will come home with a gift.

Autumn tree for children of the senior group of kindergarten using the quilling technique (rolling paper)

You can use paper to make a cute three-dimensional tree in the quilling style. It turns out to be a rainbow tree. The number of circles is not limited.

      We will need:

      • cardboard
      • colored paper
      • glue
      • scissors
      • compass
      • pencil

      Work progress:

Cut out circles with diameters of 8 cm from colored paper.

The more there are, the more magnificent the tree will be.

Cut them into a spiral in a circle. Next, we’ll make 3 strips of brown paper, 2-3 cm wide.

Let’s wind them onto a knitting needle. Secure the edges with glue. Let’s connect them with cardboard – this will be the trunk.

Take a blank made of colored paper. We begin to twist each one.

Coat the bottom of the leaf with glue and connect it to the base. So gradually and slowly we will form a multi-colored crown. Glue grass at the base of the tree. Let’s sprinkle some leaves. Next, turn on your imagination and create your masterpiece.

Autumn forest made of twisted strips of paper

Prepare an autumn background for the applique and determine the location of the trees on the sheet.

Three-dimensional trees can be made in three ways.

First method: cut 1×5 centimeter strips from colored paper in autumn shades. We glue each strip into a ring, the colored side out. Glue the resulting rings sideways onto the trunk in a chaotic manner. Try to glue so that the joint line is hidden at the bottom.

Second method: Cut a strip of paper 1.5×20 centimeters and wind it in a spiral around a pencil. Make 10 spirals in this way and glue them to the paper, placing them like rays from one point in the center of the trunk.

Glue smaller leaves on top of each spiral. Leaves can be cut out using a template or punched out with a hole punch.

Third method: willow or birch. Cut out many strips of 0.5 x 20 centimeters and screw them very tightly onto a toothpick so that you almost get a tube. Draw a willow or birch trunk with drooping branches. Glue the resulting spirals to the ends of the branches.

      Flat paper applique

The standard way to create an autumn forest. To complete it you need:

      1. Take a sheet of paper of any color that seems most suitable – white, blue, green.
      2. Glue a strip of paper along the bottom, which will imitate the ground. More often they choose brown or green. Just choose this color that is contrasting with the background.
      3. Make several trees of different colors. It can be yellow, orange, dark green, brown, mustard. Here the child must draw the outline of the future tree on the back of the sheet, and then carefully cut it out.
      4. Don’t forget to cut additional trunks for each tree.
      5. Carefully, lubricating the back side of each blank, stick them onto the prepared sheet so that the trunks stand on the ground.
      6. Then suggest using a black or dark brown marker to draw branches directly on top of the colored paper.

The technique is easy and accessible, even for small children. It is used in kindergartens.

      DIY “autumn tree” craft

The activity is suitable for younger preschoolers. The purpose of creating an autumn applique is to teach children 3-4 years old the skill of working with available materials, developing imagination and fine motor skills. For the lesson, take gouache in 3 autumn colors: red, yellow, orange. It is not advisable to use watercolor paint, otherwise the application will turn out faded. You also need cotton pads, 12-15 pieces.

Making this craft couldn’t be easier:

      1. Place the discs on oilcloth.
      2. Dilute gouache paint with water in 3 separate containers.
      3. Use a brush to pick up diluted paint and drip onto the discs. You can drip a certain color onto each disc, or you can mix colors to create beautiful stains.
      4. On the background sheet, draw a tree trunk with brown gouache.
      5. Once the discs are dry, glue them onto the top of the barrel so that they partially overlap each other. Leave the craft to dry.

Crafts and applications on the theme “autumn” made from colored paper

On the theme “Autumn” you can make a lot of amazing voluminous postcards with your own hands from colored paper. And also wonderful autumn applications that are suitable for competitions in kindergarten or school.

Rolled craft paper can make this interesting tree.

Kids will be happy to make this applique. Let’s collect all the harvest in a basket.

You can draw a sketch of an apple (pear) using the fruit. Cut it in half, dip it in paint and apply it to paper.

Sometimes this technique can be used at the dacha with children with potatoes. It makes a wonderful brush.

      Another positive for you.

On the Internet I found this picture – an applique. It’s easy to do. Looks very great.

      Very beautiful craft

You can decorate paper leaves with plasticine. Then make an applique out of it

Let’s cut out a template of a maple leaf or any other tree. We take plasticine and paint it in any autumn colors.

Children’s imagination and fingers will do the job with 5 plus. The help of adults is to not interfere with this process.

May there always be sunshine both in the sky and in your soul.

      Working with cotton wool

This method involves molding pieces of cotton wool into the required volumes. Fixing them to the main sheet. And then carefully painting the entire surface to create a specific color scheme for the entire composition.

This is done as follows in class:

      • A piece of cotton wool comes off.
      • It is necessary to prepare a small container with water to make it easier to mold the cotton wool.
      • Dip your fingers in water to give the cotton a certain look and shape.
      • Lubricating or dipping one part of the cotton wool into glue, then fix it on the paper in the right place, while creating a tree crown.
      • Take a brush with sufficiently voluminous and thick bristles, dilute the paint of the appropriate color quite thinly, and with precise movements paint the cotton wool in the desired color. It is not necessary to achieve a continuous tone creation. It will be enough to apply it pointwise.
      • Cut out trunks from paper and glue them under the cotton wool.

      Where to start?

So, regardless of which group you are conducting the lesson in, it is initially necessary to introduce children to the varieties of trees and shrubs. After all, only a few of them will be able to name you more than 2 types of trees, not to mention shrubs. How can you do something you don’t know?

Therefore, the teacher’s task is not only to tell, but also to show what this or that tree looks like. Perhaps you have teaching material on this topic: hand-drawn or printed from the Internet. But I recommend that you purchase demonstration pictures “Trees and Shrubs”, which can later be used in other classes. They cost just a penny, and the thick cardboard and large size of the cards will make you very happy.

Thematic picture dictionary “Flowers, Trees” will also serve well in classes where you need to get acquainted with the diversity of the plant world, depict it in the form of an applique or draw it. These two manuals will provide invaluable assistance to the teacher both in the initial stages of preparation for creative work, and in the case of a more in-depth study of the topic.

And of course, you will need templates for work. For the little ones, you will need to cut them out yourself, leaving only small elements for cutting – you need to practice using scissors from an early age. Students will only have to glue the necessary elements.

Technology for making a family tree

If you want to try something new in your work, then I suggest you do some applique work in the form of a family tree. In this case, it is advisable to make the crown of the tree whole; voluminous leaves are not suitable here. In this photo they look very sloppy.

What will happen on the crown depends on your imagination. You can stick apples on which children will write members of their family (suitable for a preparatory group) or flowers. You can also ask parents in advance to bring photographs of family members in the form of small circles.
